Founded in Chicago in 1928, Lakeside Engineering Corporation initially served the water needs of nation-wide buildings and municipal communities.  Lakeside's name sprang from our early location near the shores of Lake Michigan .  In 1968, we relocated to the western suburbs in Bartlett , IL , where we remain today.  

The first major products were Zeolite and Green Sand Water Softeners and Filters, and in 1936, the Aero filter was introduced as an early-day rotary distributor.  That same decade, a patent was acquired for the Spiraflo Clarifier, and later, the Spiravac Clarifier, SpiraGrit and Spiragester were developed.   

After the move to Bartlett , Lakeside introduced some of its most popular products.  Our engineers were the first to introduce brush aerators in the United States , later known as cage rotors.  The first open screw pumps in the U.S. were also launched by Lakeside, followed by our design of enclosed Type C and Type S pumps.  And in 1988, our liquid-solids screening separators were first produced.  These separators were the precursor to our Raptor®  line, which features the Fine Screen, Micro Strainer, Wash Press, Sewage Acceptance Plant and the H-PAC.  

While our name was officially changed to Lakeside Equipment Corporation, our main role in wastewater treatment is that of process design and assistance.  Today, Lakeside works with consulting engineers, plant operators and our sales representatives to provide the most effective and efficient treatment equipment and process solutions for all your wastewater needs.
