70RWP Raptor® Wash Press 316SS

Equipment Maintenance

Operational 24 hours per day with very little routine maintenance required.

The wastewater treatment plant at Bloomington, IN, added a Lakeside Raptor® Wash Press to its plant to compact and dewater its wet and organic-laden screenings.  Running for more than four years, it has never been down for maintenance issues, proving its dependability.

The Wash Press combines two stages of washing and two stages of compaction and dewatering into a single screw design.  Its reversing function crushes and breaks up materials for improved cleaning.  The forward motion performs the washing and compaction.

This two-stage, single-screw process reduces screenings volume by more than 50 percent and weight by more than 67 percent to lower disposal costs.

Maintenance Coordinator Danny McConnel is "very happy with the Wash Press," and how reliable Lakeside equipment is.  "If we had to get a second unit," he says, "we wouldn't hesitate to get a second Lakeside Wash Press."
