Equipment Maintenance

Equipment runs continuously but requires minimum maintenance.  Operator estimates 26 hours/month for preventative measures and 16 hours/year for corrective.

When the city of Clinton, MS, was looking for equipment to install at their new wastewater treatment plant, Lakeside Equipment Corporation stood out among the competition.  Plant Operator David Canizaro said Lakeside was chosen because the "equipment is operator-friendly."

Four years later, Canizaro notices the difference in labor and maintenance hours; "There's less labor and maintenance time with Lakeside's equipment.  Our other treatment facilities require more labor."

Lakeside equipment at the plant includes two (2) 60-inch, 40-hp, 3-flight Open Screw Pumps to bring influent to the Closed Loops Reactor (CLR) Process, where wastewater is treated in a modified complete mix process.  The CLR is dual ditch with eight (8) Magna Rotors, Covers and Baffles.  Oxygen in the ditches is controlled by simple adjustments of two (2) Rotating Plate Weirs.  Wastewater is further processed in two (2) 80-foot Spiraflo Clarifiers to remove total suspended solids.

Operators at the plant are pleased with equipment performance and also with Lakeside personnel.  "Upon start up, Lakeside was most proficient," Canizaro said.  "I'm very satisfied with the service."
