Lakeside Equipment Installed Raptor® Septage Acceptance Plant with 47" Raptor® Fine Screen |
At the Wheaton, IL, wastewater treatment plant, operators easily praise Lakeside's RAPTOR® Septage Acceptance Plant (SAP), in operation since 2001. The unit's quick processing cycle allows haulers to unload faster, and brings more loads to the plant. The automated unit works with a 47" Raptor® Fine Screen, providing dependable screenings removal with little maintenance required in more than three years of operation.
The SAP accepts heavy loads that include rocks and large pieces of debris. Plant Superintendent Steve Bollweg notes that the "Lakeside SAP is rarely challenged and rarely reaches capacity, even with two septage haulers at once."
Haulers favor the efficient and easy operation of the Lakeside SAP to process loads faster and accurately, measuring within a few gallons. Dale Warfel, owner of Warfel's Multi-Flo, a division of Reed Septic Service, Inc., prefers the Lakeside SAP and will travel additional miles to unload in one. "Wheaton's Lakeside SAP is the fastest unit in the area," Warfel said. "Other brands will shut down [when discharging too quickly]." But, the Lakeside SAP has never shut off while Warfel has unloaded.
Two septage haulers can unload at once, side by side, without causing any interference with the SAP's total capacity. Each hauler can unload at 600 gallons/minute, for an unload capacity of more than 1,000 gallons/minute with no challenge to the Lakeside SAP.
The unit is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with access controls. Plant operators further favor the unit's automatic controls and invoicing data transmissions to minimize administrative hours and unload time, creating cost paybacks and drawing more haulers. |
