With a helical screw conveyor, the trough-mounted Grit Classifier is an ideal solution for grit dewatering and is often used with our grit removal systems. 

After grit is discharged to the Classifier, the grit and water mixture from the grit air lift is discharged over a weir.  Settled grit is then removed by the helical screw conveyor, equipped with steel flights.  The sectional flights are fabricated with hardened welding on the leading edge for durability and strong-wear resistance.
